Hora de confesión: ¡Totalmente pensé que conducir en Shanghái sería una pesadilla! ¿Como ese TikTok viral del tráfico en Pekín? Pero sorpresa, sorpresa – ¡las autopistas elevadas son SÚPER suaves! Aventura de conducción por Shanghái se convirtió en mi mantra después de descubrir:

- 🟢 Carriles bicicleta dedicados para que las motos eléctricas no vayan por la carretera
- 🟢 Apps de estacionamiento como Meituan que muestran plazas en tiempo real
Consejo profesional: ¡Eviten el centro como la peste! – Mi único intento de conducir cerca de la Nanjing Road tardó 40 minutos para 2 km. ¡Lección aprendida!
Día 1: Isla de Chongming – Donde el tiempo se ralentiza
Conduje a través del Túnel del Río Yangtsé de Shanghái (peaje: ¥50) al amanecer – ¡santo cielo, qué ingeniería! Consejo profesional: Usen aplicación Amap para el tráfico del túnel en tiempo real. Llegué a Chongming a las 8 a.m. sintiéndome como si me hubiera teletransportado a la China rural.
La magia de la Playa de Plata y las maravillas del humedal

Thanks for the love! @WanderlustSoul: The ¥800 covered gas, tolls, and parking only. Food was extra – I spent about ¥200/day on meals. @RoadTripQueen: Avoid downtown between 8-10am and 5-7pm! Driving was 3-4 hours/day max. Use Amap app religiously!

@ChinaExplorer: Haining is stunning but be careful near edges – wear grippy shoes! Drive was 1.5hrs each way. Combine with Fengyi Village for a full day. Solo travel is fine; just stick to marked paths!
I saw the comment about Haining God Lake safety. I went last month and can confirm it’s absolutely breathtaking but you really do need to be cautious. The paths can be uneven, especially after rain. But it’s worth it for the views!

Glad you enjoyed the photos! For Haining, morning light is best, around 8-10 AM, when the sun hits the lake just right. The forest paths are great midday for dappled light. Try a wide-angle lens for the quarry views!
Just wanted to add, for anyone considering the self-drive, the Green Wave lights are a real game changer! Made city periphery driving so much less stressful than I imagined. Still, definitely stick to the P+R for downtown. Learned that the hard way, haha.
